Lovely place! We go to it daily for a run with our dog at the enclosed dog pen and the tea room has a very nice hot chocolate
Great place to visit and lots of open spaces for all kinds of activities. Always some sort of planned activities running through out the year which are normally well attended.The Enchanted Gardens are running up to Christmas with the house and gardens lit up. Tickets for this event, just as the fireworks display, can only be purchased at the Civic Centre. A large car park is available at the far east of the park itself and off road parking is Very restricted.Good toilet facilities are available and wheelchair access is excellent. Reasonably priced cafe with a choice of hot meals or snacks.Good size boating lake, crown green bowling areas as well as tennis courts all available to hire.For those walkers, the dean is a good area to start with nature in abundance . The Go Ahead Northern bus services (No 53 and 54) will drop you off right outside one of the Parks entrances.
Great place with plenty of open spaces and lots to see and do. Lovely walks and grounds, a boating lake, tearooms and a wide variety of birds to look at in the 'mini zoo'. When we went there were bouncy castles and a train that you could take rides around the park on. Icecream vans etc...Definitely worth a visit.
A great place to walk and think. It's easy to get to. Plenty of room to run a round. The lake is a great view and has boats on it again a delit to visit . There are plenty of toilet. This is one of the best park s in the North East of England. There is a nice tea shop as well.
Such a lush park. Lots of greenery. A lovely cafe. Two parks... A little pets corner and of course the lake where you can go on paddle boats. Lovely park. And there's even a Thomas the tank engine who drives you round the park which is great for kids..and the mini hedge maze which is small but fun as we adults have to crouch so not to be seen when running around this..
