Rang today 5/9/18 at 3.45pm to register as a new patient. I was told by a surly receptionist I couldnt have an appointment to register. I asked for ideas on when one might become available. Im a fit healthy employed person so registering is hopefully a precaution and I was not in any hurry. Pha I was told and I quote its up to the management and they are a law unto themselves your guess is as good as mine keep ringing and they may or may not release appointment. Oh I say not sure I really want to register now and she says its up to you and hung up. I rang again to speak to the practice manager who decline to come to the phone. Therefore ultimately I have been denied access to NHS health care by this practice. I suggest they start recording their calls I did not warrant this treatment at all I work in a customer based government organisation and no way would I be allowed nor would I want to speak to customers in this manner. Trying to get appointments is terrible ,and ringing up at 7 am to get one is a no no,Some of the receptionists have attitudes,the way they speak to you,trying to get prescriptions done needs to be looked at.The surgery needs to pull there finger out and try and help more.aknow it's not the docs fault,but things need to change.
